Stuff...

We have definately been enjoying this spring weather! It doesn't get much better than this, cool nights, sunny, warm, breezy workdays, and a light drizzle for the days off and evenings. The crops are loving it! We are excited already for next year, and this winter. It will be nice to have lettuce and other things year round. So far everyone that has tried the lettuce and onions love them and keep asking for more! That makes it all worth it; good, local food! Our Boone Farmers Market starts this weekend, May 1st, and we are steadlily getting ready. We are going to try a few new things year, so hopefully it works well, we'll just have to watch for the snags and fix them. There is a big interest in a local market that is geared more towards the mindset of eating pesticide-free food, so we are working towards that as well, lots of details to work through, but ideas are coming to pass! The chickens are growing fast, and I am really enjoying the turkeys as well. They are definately very different than the chicks. The most excoting part of this whole gardening thing is that it takes all of us, which means I get to watch my beautifully pregnant wife work outside! She is having a blast, and she is in great shape, very healthy and ready for our CSA's to start. The lawn business is going so well, that I am tempted to add more! NAH!!! It is going well though! The guy i have working with us has been a great help, and we really enjoy him. It's going to be fun watching his family grow. Watch for more updates, gotta go.....
