September 7th CSA update...

Here at Harmony Acres, we strive to create a bath and body product that not only...uh, sorry, I got stuck in soap land. All is well in produce land as well, and we do strive to grow quality food for you! Once again, we only have produce available for CSA members. Thankfully we still have a bit of variety, and we are looking forward to our last corn harvest, which should be very soon. This time the corn might even be bug free due to the cooler weather we have been having, we'll see. Either way, it's good sweet corn! We do have chicken and turkey available. For those of you that have heard of the possibility of us going to the beach for a week, its true! We plan on taking this trip the last week in Sept., and we also plan to go to a wedding Sept. 17-21. The CSA drop off for those weeks will have to be altered a little, but the it will happen. As far as the beach goes, some friends have given us a week at their beach house, and we are joyously excited!!! The weather here has been "I wish we could keep this in a bottle" nice! September is awesome, the grass is slowing down, cool breezes through the shade of a big tree, and cool nights. I am reading a book that is sure to create thoughtful quotes and interesting comments. I recommend looking into it as well, "The Creature from Jekyll Island.". We really do have a crazy money system in America. We can only do what we can do though, no need for fear, just knowledge! We also have a few turkeys available, so if you are interested please let us know.

Availability:

Whole Chicken - $3.00/lb
Chicken Breast - $8.00/lb
Legs/Wings/Thighs - $3.50/lb
Turkey - $3.50/lb
All of these chickens and turkeys were raised without hormones or antibiotics, and moved daily to fresh green grass. We also feed them the best grains we can get, and support a local farmer in the process. Every time you make an effort to support local, its one step closer to freedom from a system that enslaves individuals to create corporate america. Eat local, eat fresh!
